Paris Olympics Day 2! The Performance of Japanese Athletes

In the women’s street skateboarding final held at Place de la Concorde in Paris on the 28th local time, top-ranked Coco Yoshizawa, along with Rizu Akama and Funa Nakayama, advanced and Coco Yoshizawa won the gold medal and Rizu Akama won the silver medal.

On the same day, Hifumi Abe (Park 24) won the men’s judo 66kg final and claimed the gold medal. Hifumi Abe also won the gold medal in the same event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, achieving back-to-back Olympic victories.

In the men’s épée individual fencing final, Japanese representative Koki Kano (JAL) won 15-9 and secured the gold medal. This is the first gold medal for a Japanese athlete in an individual fencing event.

In the men’s 400m individual medley swimming final held at 8:30 PM on the 28th local time, Japanese representatives Tomoyuki Matsushita and Daiya Seto competed, with Tomoyuki Matsushita aggressively taking the lead from the start and winning the silver medal.
